In the past we have come across a variety of animal sculptures [some were made of Lego]. Once again we have something really exciting to share. The shape although has been “inspired by natural forms and structures”, for me it is more like an extraterrestrial being right on your desk capable of shining light. [Okay, now enough with my fantasies...]. The lamp is made from sheet aluminum and “is powered by a highly efficient 1-watt Cree LED light source“. The head could be adjusted to shine light at multiple angles of your choice.

Lightsails in Austria
This structure is a Lightsail and is one of the many that has been constructed at different spots around the lake Millstaetter in Austria. An abstract form of sails, these have been designed to emit light as a “guiding symbol” similar to lighthouses. The purpose is to assist tourists in easier navigation around the exhibits, planned along the lake.
