Orca Sculpture in Vancouver

In the past we have come across a variety of animal sculptures [some were made of Lego]. Once again we have something really exciting to share. Also known as Orca, this voxel Orca sculpture can be sighted at the Vancouver Convention Center.

Percy Lamp

Somehow this little lamp called Percy looks pretty cute. The shape although has been “inspired by natural forms and structures”, for me it is more like an extraterrestrial being right on your desk capable of shining light. [Okay, now enough with my fantasies...]. The lamp is made from sheet aluminum and “is powered by a highly efficient 1-watt Cree LED light source“. The head could be adjusted to shine light at multiple angles of your choice.

Books in a way that you have never realised before

Wondering what is it? If I told you that these are a pack of books that have been bundled together and transformed into a piece of art, for letting them thrive with a new meaning, would you believe it? These are a few specimen from the collection of artist Brian Dettmer who with his unique skill makes sculptures, carvings and much more with books, that have lost their identity in this present world.

Now you could add hinges to your packaging boxes

If a little twist to an ordinary object could bring amusement to people in their daily life, then it’s a “thumbs up” for that design. X-tape is a sealing tape but as opposed to being transparent or simply colored, it has pictures of hinge which when used portrays a cheeky illusion that could fool the onlookers for a moment. Check out the pictures below and fall into the trap!

If you are not interested in having a ‘lock’, you could also opt for a pixelated ‘key’. These pixelated designs are unique and are sturdy. In fact both the keyrings are fairly bendable and are made of PVC.

Lightsails in Austria

This structure is a Lightsail and is one of the many that has been constructed at different spots around the lake Millstaetter in Austria. The purpose is to assist tourists in easier navigation around the exhibits, planned along the lake.
